U.S. to position combat troops in Kuwait to keep an eye on Iran

As planned, United States will withdraw its forces from Iraq by the end of this year. However, in order to still have their military presence in the middle-east, the United State is planning to position its combat forces in Kuwait. This is being done to be ready to respond if a security crisis arose in Iraq and also to be in a position to take on Iran, if the situation called for it.

According to sources, military officers from America and diplomats say that the US combat forces presence is required in the middle-east; that is reeling under turmoil in more ways than one and the departure of US forces could add to this instability.
