UAE airlines delay and cancel flights following massive blizzard in US


Emirates and Etihad Airways cancelled flights to and from Washington DC as massive winter blizzard continues to disrupt flights over the United States east coast.

Saturday saw two Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to New York and Washington DC cancelled, along with two Emirates flights to Dubai from New York and one to Washington, with an additional two flights pushed back until Tuesday. Five other Emirates flights to and from the US to other locations were also cancelled.

Emirates, meanwhile, cancelled eight flights on Saturday. Its scheduled flights to and from Washington, EK231 and EK232, suffered the same fate yesterday.

New York flights that were scheduled for Saturday were pushed to yesterday.

Flight EK207 from Dubai to JFK was delayed from 11am on Saturday to 2am yesterday, while flight EK208 from JFK to Dubai was rescheduled from 9.30am on Saturday to 6.40pm yesterday.
