The decision of Shiv Sena and BJP to enter into an alliance for the Maharashtra State Assembly Elections has been anything but smooth as both have faced massive internal party cadre wrath and challenges to keep the party and its men together on the same page. Evidently, the topic was taken up in the Shiv Sena’s annual Dussehra rally at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park by its Executive President Uddhav Thackeray. Uddhav Thackeray gave the subject a direct honest approach. After yuvti, as unrest was reported in constituencies where Shiv Sena was strong and was hoping to contest from, many Sainiks criticized Uddhav Thackeray for compromising with the BJP more than required to make way for Aditya Thackeray’s official entry in the poll fray. Not touching upon the criticism, he justified his decision to Shiv Sainiks.
He added that he had already taken everything into consideration ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Uddhav Thackeray also said the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is genuine, unlike the SP-BSP tie-up in Uttar Pradesh which “was solely based on greed for power and was hence rejected.” He questioned if not the BJP, then should he have gone with the Congress?
While giving many reasons to justify his decision to go into an alliance with BJP, Uddhav Thackeray also apologised to Shiv Sainiks whose seats have gone to alliance partners. #ZebaWarsia – NMTV News.
