A Barclays report has put the dire financial condition of United Kingdom on record. It has stated that unemployment figures have risen so drastically that it is the highest since 1992. The numbers of jobs have gone down by 178,000 by August 2011.
The most affected by the crisis in UK are people belonging to the age group of 16 to 24 years. Not just full timers, but the situation also threatens those working part time as the number of people working part-time fell by 175,000 over the quarter.
A closer look at the numbers are more depressing : the number of people living without jobs for over one year is 867,000 while the number of people living without jobs for over two years is 423,000.
