30 American soldiers were killed during a special-forces mission Friday in Afghanistan last week after their helicopter was hit by enemy fire. The remains of the killed soldiers were brought back to the United State’s Delaware air base in two C-17 military aircraft.
President Barack Obama visited Delaware air base to pay homage to them.
According to reports in the US media, President Barack Obama was escorted to the planes carrying the mortal remains to offer tributes. Following this, the President met the families of the dead soliders to pay his condolences.
