Volkswagen scandal: Company to start recalling in Jan

Volkswagen CEO Matthias Muellerhas stated that the company would be recalling its cars which were affected by the emissions scandal in January.

Assuring that all cars will be fixed by 2016, he added that very few employees were involved in the scandal.

The emissions scandal surrounded the the German car manufacturer after it admitted cheating emissions tests in the US. There is a possibility of nearly 1 million vehicles being affected with this in UK, while Europe, France and Italy have all begun investigations.

The company is suspending the sale of 4,000 vehicles in the UK suspecting that it too might contain the device that cheated the emissions tests.

The firm would also scrutinise its other brands and models except Bugatti.
