White House armed intruder had succeeded not only in breaching the security system but also overpowering a Secret service agent, Washington

Last month the news that an armed intruder was successful in breaching the security system of the White House was shocking itself. But it seems that this information was not complete. Omar J. Gonzalez, 42, was armed with a knife. HE had successfully breached the security system and managed to enter inside the mansion. The protocols call for an officer to be standing outside the North Portico door, but apparently there was no officer present there. Gonzalez easily made his way up the steps. The door was supposed to be locked as soon as the alarm went off but again there was no one present to do so. The intruder was further successful in even overpowering a secret service agent before he was finally stopped outside the Green room, a parlor that is used for receptions and teas.
This security breach has pulled the Security system under scanner. There have been many such cases in which the security has been questioned on its performance, but this case serves as a huge embarrassment for the security officials who are in charge of the responsibility of one of the most secure buildings in the world.
