Pop star Whitney Houston was declared dead in her Los Angeles hotel room after being found submerged in her bathing tub on the eve of the Grammy awards, where she was suppose to be making a come back.
Although Whitney Houston had died on February 11, yet the case had not been closed down as the actual fact and reason for her death was yet to be revealed. An investigation had been carried out to make certain if some kind of foul play or trauma was involved in the star’s death. But after the autopsy reports coming out everything became clear. The tests proved that Whitney Houston was a chronic cocaine user. The tests proved that the reason for Whitney’s death was because of drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use. Besides cocaine the tests also revealed that there was presence of marijuana and an anti anxiety drug, a muscle relaxant and an allergy medication found in her blood.
Whitney Houston’s sister in law, as well as her manager, Patricia Houston expressed sadness over the revelation of the stars toxicology reports as it was because of her drug addiction that ended the pop queen’s life so abruptly. The star was finally laid to rest at New Jersey where the funeral was being attended by close relatives and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige.
