Will BJP give entry to Ganesh Naik who compared PM Narendra Modi to commodity ?

There are speculations that Navi Mumbai’s once strongman Ganesh Naik is considering entering the BJP. It was hard to believe in the speculations, until Naik’s closest corporators started publicly speaking ill of NCP leaders, NCP party and demanding that they want to enter the BJP after their leader Ganesh Naik does so.

The aggression in corporators comes after the humiliating defeat of Ganesh Naik by archrival Manda Mhatre of BJP in Belapur constituency by just 1400 votes. The defeat shocked the Naiks as much as it shocked the corporators and party cadre in Navi Mumbai. Post the defeat, the corporators who will be running for NMMC Elections in a few months, panicked of their political fate. If their leader could lose to Manda Mhatre, they could lose to. And so just like the saying, “if you cant beat them, join them” the corporators want to join BJP and sources reveal that even Ganesh Naik has been seriously considering the idea of shifting loyalties to BJP. The political crisis that the Naik empire faces in present day is the main reason for this. The question is what will the BJP do? For Ganesh Naik is the same man who has on all political and public platforms, equated Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a commodity like Dalda and Vanaspati.

He has even taunted Prime Minister Modi for talking as is he had a magical wand to address public issues. Ganesh Naik at Rally

After having made such derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Modi, will the BJP induct Ganesh Naik in BJP and if Ganesh Naik does not switch loyalties to some other party, including the Shiv Sena, how will he ensure regaining the lost glory of the Naiks in Navi Mumbai, is a wait and watch. What also has to be closely watched is if Ganesh Naik does change his party, how will he justify betraying NCP President Sharad Pawar, who during the hay days of NCP in Navi Mumbai, allowed Ganesh Naik to keep four plum posts of Minister, MLA, MP and Mayor within his family. Only time will answer all these speculations.
