The Bombay High Court has said that while it will look into the validity of the beef ban law, it is not going to look consider if non-vegetarian food is good or bad.
The court said, “We are not concerned whether non-vegetarian food is good or bad. Or whether slaughter is good or bad. We will only go into if the law is valid or not.”
Lawyers representing various animal welfare and religious organizations supported the ban as they claimed that there was no fundamental right to eat beef.
