Like any other country, Syria was also once a place where the people had lived with their families peacefully together protected by their country military forces and government. But now million of people are suffering and running away from their once safe haven after they had been brutally tortured in their own homeland. The civil war still continues and everyday some or the other true brutal incident comes out. The people who are still trapped are praying for their rescue and the one who have fled are still trying to gather themselves mentally and emotionally in refugees camp that had been set up in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. It had also been revealed by the victims how the women have become the primary subject of torture, where they are brutally raped, gang raped and sometimes even raped with objects including mice and rats. Along with the women, even the children and elderly are suffering largely and are also tortured in inhumanly ways.
Let’s just hope that the leaders and the activists work up ways together to somehow end the civil war in Syria or at least be able to reach out to help those who are still trapped in this violence. Kiran Kidwai – International Desk, NMTV
