One of the fastest growing nodes of Navi Mumbai, Kharghar while on the path of development comes along with a list of problems for its residents. The locals are forced to live between the fast growing menace of garbage, dogs and pollution. While Kharghar is seeing lots of development the projects have also contributed to the fast growing menace of garbage and pollution. Vacant plots have become more of a dumping ground of sorts for the labourers. The garbage and debris accelerate mosquito and insect breeding with the stench making the node worse than a public lavatory. And the locals woes do not end here. The node does not have a good frequency of buses and hooliganism of autos for charging at their whims and fancies force the locals to walk to their destination. Another issue that plagues the residents is that of dog menace. The residents state that the tall promises claimed by authorities calling Kharghar as Navi Mumbai’s paradise has fallen short miserably. With cameraperson Abhay Prasad, Sana Warsia for NMTV News.
